Day 01 Delhi - Khajuraho
(By flight) : Arrive Khajuraho and transfer to a 5 star
hotel. Khajuraho, a world heritage site, is acknowledged as
one of the world's artistic wonders. It is dedicated to the
Hindu pantheon of Gods in stone carvings that are a paean to
life and love. Built by the Chandela Rajputs, the 10th
century temples lay forgotten until they were discovered in
the 20th century. Khajuraho has achieved fame for the
sensual appeal of its erotic sculptures. Visit the temples
and witness the Sound & Light show.
Night stay in Khajuraho.
Day 02 Khajuraho-Varanasi
(By flight): 6 AM visit the temples, breakfast at hotel and
check-out at 12 noon.Depart for Varanasi, one of India's
most sacred cities situated on the western bank of the holy
river Ganga. It is also the oldest living city in the world.
Arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel. Varanasi is a place
for devotion and worship with hundreds of temples dotting
the city. Sunrise on the river front as seen from a boat can
be a spiritually uplifting sight. Evening view 'Aarti'
ceremony on the Ghats of river Ganges.Night stay in Varanasi.
Day 03 Varanasi
Early morning boat cruise at the river Ganges to observe the
way of life of pilgrims by the Ghats. Later excursion to
Sarnath which is 10 kms. east of Varanasi and is one of the
Buddhism's major centers of India. After attaining
enlightenment, the Buddha came to Sarnath where he gave his
first sermon. Visit to the museum and later return to
Varanasi. Night stay in Varanasi.
Day 04 - Varanasi- Delhi
(By Flight) : Early morning visit Banaras Hindu University,
Tulsi Manas temple,Sankat Mochan temples. Return to hotel
for breakfast. Check-out at 12 noon & proceed to the airport
after lunch for the flight to Delhi.
